HOW TO MAKE A RESERVATION

Please enter the dates of your stay in Barcelona and the number of guests on the top of our website. Then you can see all the available apartments we have. Your are requested to make a reservation pre-payment for the 23% to 34% of the apartment cost by credit card or bank transfer. If you choose to pay by credit card you will receive a confirmation e-mail in a few seconds as soon as your payment is accepted. If you prefer to pay by bank tranfer you will receive an e-mail with the instructions. Please note that transferences from non-€uro countries might have an additional cost of 5€.

INVOICE FOR THE COMPANIES

Please, note that for invoices going to a company a 18% over the apartment cost will be added due to the VAT tax.

 

RESERVATION PRE-PAYMENT AND DEPOSIT

• We do require a payment to hold your reservation. The amount will depend on the length of your booking, the number of guests and the time for which you wish to book. For long term rentals different charge may apply.


• When booking you must specify the exact number of people that will make use of the apartment. The exact number of guests given upon reservation should occupy the flat. Apartment occupancy should never exceed the stated number of guests assigned to it, except for babies under 3 years old. Stay for babies up to 3 years old is free.


• Payment for the 23% to 35% reservation deposit should be made via credit card or bank transfer. The rest of the rent should be paid by cash on the arrival date or by bank transfer 8 days before arrival. Please note that the possibility of paying the balance due upon arrival by credit card exists for most of our apartments. If you wish pay with your credit card upon arrival, please make sure to let us know beforehand and to receive our confirmation. There will be a supplement charge of 2% over the total amount when using Visa or Master card, and in the case of American Express it will be of 3.5% .


• This payment reservation will not be reimbursed under any circumstances. However, you will be able to change the dates of your stay 30 days before your arrival and always depending on the availability of the same apartment.


• Please note that the booking will not be confirmed until Barcelonaforrent has received the payment amount and you have received a confirmation e-mail.


• On arrival you will be also asked from 200 to 400 euros as deposit against damage made during your stay. The deposit payment should be made in cash, and will be returned in full when you leave the apartment, assuming it is undamaged of course! For long term rentals (more than 30 nights) a deposit between 500  and 1000 euros will be required.


• High season is: June, July, August, Christmas, Easter and special events such as GSM fair in February, Alimentaria fair in March, F1, Construmat fair in May and Sonar festival in summer. In all Gotic Argenteria apartments high season is from the 1st of May to the 2nd November, Easter, Christmas and special events. Please, note that in high season fares can be increased up to 25%.


• We have a three nights minimum reservation policy for all apartments.


• All reservations have a 40 to 100 Euros cleaning supplement charge.


Please note that for all reservations for the 3GSM World Mobile congress 2010 (14 -19 February 2010) it is mandatory to pay the full balance until 30 days before the day of arrival by bank transference. In case of not receiving the full payment at least 30 days in advance, the booking will be cancelled.

 

ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES TERMS

When you are booking an apartment , you select a date for the check-in and a date for the check-out. Once  the reservation is made, you have the right to get in the apartment after 3 PM the date that you selected for the check-in and you have the right to stay in the apartment until 11 AM  the date that you selected for the check-out.

ARRIVALS

Check in time is at 3:00 pm.

Check in after 9:00 PM  will have an extra charge of  30 € and check in after 1.00 am will have an extra charge of  50 €

Barcelonaforrent will not carry out Check Ins between 03.00 AM and 09.00 AM. Check Ins between 03.00 AM and 09.00 AM will be done as an exception with an extra charge of 150€ if the clients arrive on a delayed flight and have informed Barcelonaforrent of that delay the same day before 01.00 AM.

IMPORTANT: If you have not informed us about your arrival time or any delay on the confirmed hour then you should know that Barcelonaforrent will only answer the arrival mobile phone until 1 am.

DEPARTURES

The limit check out time is at 11 am.

If you have to check out before 8 am you have two options:

First option: you will have to pay an extra charge of 30 euros as a person of our staff is going to the apartment to do the check out process and return you the deposit.

Second option: You can leave the keys inside the apartment and we will return you the deposit by bank transfer. In this case, we have to charge you 3 to 5 Euros due to the transfer commission.

Check out's before 7 AM will be done by bank transfer.

In case that Barcelonaforrent does not have enough staff to do the check out at the apartment the diposit will be refunded by bank trasnsfer.

Losing the apartment keys has a charge of 30 euros.

The apartment shall be cleaned prior to the arrival of each guest. When leaving, the apartment must be in a reasonable conditions.

 

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE PROCESS

1. Together with the confirmation e-mail of your booking, Barcelonaforrent will send you an e-mail containing all the information you need upon the arrival: apartment address and contact telephone number in order to confirm your arrival time in Barcelona.

2. You are requested to reply as soon as possible with the time of your arrival in Barcelona, in order to allow our staff or the owner of the apartment, to meet and give you the keys upon arrival.

3. On the arrival date, please call to the contact number informed, either from the airport terminal, train station or if coming by car, 30 minutes prior to your arrival. This will allow our staff or the owner to be at the apartment at your arrival.

4. When you arrive at the apartment, our staff will be waiting for you at the agreed time. We will show you how the equipment works and give you the apartment keys. You will be requested to sign a short-term rental contract, which will be also signed by the owner.

5.  Then you will be requested to pay the rest of the amount charged for the whole period of accommodation in cash, or by bank transferone week prior to your arrival. Please note that the possibility of paying the balance due upon arrival by credit card exists for most of our apartments. If you wish pay with your credit card upon arrival, please make sure to let us know beforehand and to receive our confirmation. There will be a supplement charge of 2% over the total amount when using Visa or Master card, and in the case of American Express it will be of 3.5%. You will also be requested to pay a security deposit of between 100 to 400 Euros against damage made during your stay. Payment will be made in cash, and will be returned in full when you leave the apartment, assuming it is undamaged of course!

6.  Please, contact us during business hours for restaurant recommendations, directions if lost or general questions regarding either the apartment or Barcelona. We can also book a taxi for you on your departure date, if requested in advance.

7. Departure time should be before 11 am. A member of our staff will be at the apartment at the agreed time to:

  • Collect the apartment keys.
  • Return the refundable deposit minus any damages which may have occurred.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Should the client cancel a reservation, the reservation pre-payment will not be reimbursed under any circumstances. However, you will be able to change 30 days in advance, the dates of your stay at the same apartment depending on its availability.

Should Barcelonaforrent apartments S.L. be unable to provide the client the property he has booked, it will have the right to transfer him to a property of similar characteristics.

In case of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances (unscheduled building works, water damage,…) Barcelonaforrent reserves the right to transfer the client to an apartment of similar characteristics. In case that Barcelonaforrent does not have any apartment to offer the client, the client has the right to cancel the booking and receive a part of the refund. This part of the refund does not include the reservation prepayment and the part corresponding to the cleaning and the days that the apartment was used, if this were the case. Barcelonaforrent will not be liable for further claims by the client.

We advise you to take out travel insurance. In case of any cancellation, even due to any major incident, the conditions of cancellation will be applied as established here.

CHANGES

Any modification of a booking (dates, number of people or apartment) is possible always 30 days in advance of the arrival date, but is subject to acceptance by Barcelonaforrent apartments and entails a management charge of 20 euros.

In case of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances (unscheduled building works, water damage,…) Barcelonaforrent reserves the right to transfer the client to an apartment of similar characteristics. In case that Barcelonaforrent does not have any apartment to offer the client, the client has the right to cancel the booking and receive a part of the refund. This part of the refund does not include the reservation prepayment and the part corresponding to the days that the apartment was used, if this were the case. Barcelonaforrent will not be liable for further claims by the client.

BEHAVIOUR

The client signing the rental agreement will be liable for the correct and decent behaviour of all the persons accompanying him/her. Should that person, or any of the persons accompanying him/her not behave in a suitable and responsible way, Barcelonaforrent apartments shall be entitled to request the client and the persons accompanying him/her to leave the apartment without being entitled to any compensation.

In case of non-fulfilment of the aforementioned duties, Barcelonaforrent Apartments reserves the right to ask the client to leave the apartment, in which case the client would not be entitled to any compensation.

RESPONSIBILITY

Nor Barcelonaforrent Apartments nor the apartment owner can be held responsible for any kind of damage, direct or indirect, which can be produced by the client as a consequence of misuse, including without limitation of any kind

 

LEGAL NOTE

The access to any kind of information published on this website is condition to the acceptance of these General Conditions. All bookings are condition to the availability of the apartment and the reception of the confirmation email from Barcelonaforrent Apartments.
